What We Believe

1

The Church

We believe the Church is more than just a building; it’s a community of people who follow Jesus together. It’s made up of anyone, anywhere, who believes in Him. We’re called to love God, love each other, and make a difference in the world.

We believe the Church exists to reflect Jesus Christ, and we are called to worship Him, grow in our faith, support one another, and share His message of hope with others.

The Church isn’t perfect, but it’s a place where God works through real people to bring hope, healing, purpose, and transformation. Everyone has a role to play, and we believe God gives each of us unique gifts to serve others and build up the Church.

In short, we believe the Church is God’s idea; a place to belong, to grow, and to be part of something bigger than ourselves in the advancement of God’s Kingdom and fulfilling the Great Commission.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s Word written by human authors but fully inspired by Him. It’s true, trustworthy, and relevant for our lives today. It shows us who God is, who we are, and how we can have a relationship with Him through Jesus.

The Bible isn’t just an old book. It’s alive and powerful. It helps guide our choices, shape our hearts, and deepen our faith. We believe everything we need to know about following God and living with purpose is found in its pages.

We read it, wrestle with it, and let it change us because we believe God still speaks through it today.

The Trinity

We believe in one God who exists forever in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are distinct, yet completely united equal in power, love, and purpose.

God the Father is the Creator of everything. He’s full of love, wisdom, and justice, and He’s working out His good plan for this world and those who love Him and choose to trust His divine plans.

Jesus, the Son, is God who became human. He lived a perfect life, died to rescue us from sin, rose again, and is alive today, reigning as King who promised to return one day for us.

The Holy Spirit is God’s presence with us now. He lives in everyone who follows Jesus, giving us strength, guidance, and comfort.

God is a relationship of love at the core and through Jesus, we’re invited into that relationship. The Trinity shows us that God is both unity and community, and that’s at the heart of everything we believe.

Salvation

We believe that everyone needs salvation because we’ve all messed up and fallen short of what God wants for us.

But the good news is that God loves us so much, He made a way for us to be saved through Jesus.

Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. Because of what He did, we can be forgiven and have a real relationship with God; not because we earn it, but because God gives it freely.

Salvation happens when we turn away from our sin, believe in Jesus, and trust Him with our lives. It’s the start of a new life, guided by God’s Spirit, growing to be more like Jesus every day.

We believe that nothing can change the fact that you belong to God once you’ve truly accepted His gift of salvation.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God that empowers believers for life, service, and witness. It is a distinct experience following salvation, marked by a deeper connection with God, spiritual boldness, and the release of gifts such as speaking in tongues. This baptism is available to all believers who seek it by faith and leads to a Spirit-filled life that glorifies Jesus and advances His Kingdom.

Two Sacraments

At the heart of our faith are two simple but powerful practices that Jesus gave us: baptism and communion. These aren’t just traditions but are powerful reminders of our faith and meaningful ways through which we express our relationship with God and remember what Jesus has done for us.

Baptism

We believe baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. When someone gets baptized, they’re publicly saying, “I’ve decided to follow Jesus.” It’s a picture of leaving the old life behind and stepping into a new life with Him. We baptize by immersion (going under the water), just like Jesus was, as a symbol of dying to our old self and being raised to new life in Him.

Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12
Communion

Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, is a time to pause and remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us. When we take the bread and the cup, we’re reminded of His body broken and His blood shed so we could be forgiven and free. It’s not just a ritual; it’s a moment to reflect, give thanks, and stay connected to Jesus Christ and each other while joyously waiting to partake with Him in His eternal Kingdom (Heaven).

Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25

Heaven

A Prepared Place: Christ Himself promised to “go and prepare a place” for us (John 14:2). In heaven we will be free from sin, suffering, and death.

The Presence of God: Heaven is defined by unbroken fellowship with the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There we will worship God both day and night basking in His glory and love.

Revelation 21:1–4; Revelation 7:15–17

Discipleship

We believe that discipleship is the lifelong process of following Jesus, becoming more like Him in character, and participating in His mission. Discipleship is not optional for the believer but is the natural response to Christ’s call: “Follow Me.”

  • Jesus  is the model for discipleship. As His followers, we are called to learn from His life, teachings, and obedience to the Father.

  • Discipleship involves transformation. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, Scripture, prayer, and community, believers are continually shaped into the image of Christ.

  • Discipleship happens in community. Growth happens best in relationship with other believers, mentors, and within the body of Christ.

  • Every believer is both a disciple and a disciple-maker. We are called to invest in others, teaching them to obey all that Jesus commanded.

  • Discipleship is holistic, affecting every area of life, our thoughts, relationships, work, and witness.

We are committed to fostering a culture of intentional discipleship, where followers of Christ are equipped, encouraged, and empowered to grow in their faith and help others do the same.
